The Greater New Orleans area has been ranked in the top 10 metro areas in the United States that has the most new corporate facility locations. Also, Louisiana national economic development projects was ranked third best in the U.S. behind TX and OH. This rankings are part of the Governor's Cup project rankings which rank the amount of business development projects in a calendar year. New Orleans, Louisiana is building back after Hurricane Katrina and is now receiving recognition for its growth. Now is a great time to relocate and buy a new home in the Greater New Orleans area.
Site Selection Magazine Ranks New Orleans Area Among the Top 10 Metros for Corporate Facility Location
Site Selection magazine has placed the Greater New Orleans region on its annual list of the top 10 metros for corporate facility location.
The rankings were based on the number of new and expanded corporate facilities, and the New Orleans area placed 10th on the list.
Site Selection also ranked Louisiana's national economic development projects third best in the United States behind Texas and Ohio. The ranking was Louisiana's highest ever in the 23-year history of the "Governor's Cup" project rankings. The Governor's Cup measures the quantity of significant business development projects for the calendar year.
"As ever more companies are investing in our region and creating jobs, this is an exciting recognition of our progress," said Michael Hecht, president and CEO of Greater New Orleans Inc., the regional economic development alliance. "The ranking is a testament to our excellent business climate and will help build confidence among those considering the Greater New Orleans area as a location to grow their business."
